Almost Set (?!)

Last trip to Shenandoah
Whew!  With just over a week to go, we have been moving/selling our things, making some last minute preparations and purchases, and running through to-do lists to make sure we haven't forgotten anything.  Knowing us, of course, we will realize at least 10 things we've forgotten only after we've hit the road. :)

The first update I would like to inform everyone of is the new link added to the right hand side of our website ("SPOT Tracker").  This is linked to a new GPS emergency device that we purchased.  Clicking on the link opens a new website with a map of our most recent GPS update.  If it works as advertised, it will let our readers know where we are currently.  Try it out!

Next update is to thank Jocelyn's Mom and Dad for their help moving our things out of the house and into storage.  They worked tirelessly all day Friday, but fortunately Saturday we had time to rest and enjoy AON's William Wallace gig and some bowling and pizza afterward!

Go Mom!  Strike!!

Big Daddy and Ricardo (Hi Cavan in the background!)

Lastly, we have sent the pets on their way to be waiting for us when we arrive in Chile.  Thank you to Ricardo's Mom and Aunt Ingrid for flying up and bringing pets back with them.  It was a lovely visit but soooo hard to see them leave.  Below is a picture from camping in Shenandoah, and also the last pictures of the pets on the day they left.

Aunt Ingrid, Ricardo and Mom Perla before it started to rain!

Poor Doodles! :(

Bean chillin' before the flight

Flanny will miss her throne!

Stay tuned for updates on how the pets are doing in Chile!

One month to go!

Yesterday we passed the "one month to go" point.   (Our unofficial departure date right now is: September 4rd!)  Things seem to be falling into place for the move, and while we still have a few headaches left to work out (coordinating the shipping of our stuff is the big one!), we are feeling good that we have almost made it to our departure date.  We have spent a lot of time coordinating trip and move-related things, but luckily we've had time to enjoy ourselves with a trip to the Outer Banks with Lauren and Robert ...

Trips up to Lititz, PA to visit Jocelyn's family ...

And of course the "Farewell to Aon" performance by Ricardo's band.

Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer!
